Nancy Carlson, M.D.

Dr. Carlson grew up in Buffalo, N.Y., and attended, Colorado College.  She graduated from the University of Colorado Medical School in 1985, and completed her residency and chief residency in Pediatrics at the University of Colorado as well.  She worked as a general pediatrician at the Children’s Hospital for five years before moving into private practice.  She joined Southeast Denver Pediatrics in 1999.  

Dr. Carlson is trained and in practice for traditional western medicine but she believes in the use of alternative therapies as well.  She also refers to acupuncture practitioners, homeopathy practitioners, nutrition consultants and encourages yoga and meditation practices for many of her patients as well.

Dr. Carlson is married to Dr. Jay Carlson and has two daughters.  Her interests include Yoga, X-country skiing, canoeing, Kayaking, and bird watching.
