Cheryl is a Denver native and graduated from Wheat Ridge High School and the University of Colorado. She then attended the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in the Child Health Associate Program.

Cheryl is married and has a son and a daughter. Cheryl enjoys hiking, cross country skiing, yoga, weight lifting, reading historical fiction, and Sudoku puzzles. Her favorite food is cheesecake.
