Well Child Visits

Preventative Care Promotes Healthy Growth & Development

While the Wellness Exam is an opportunity to address any concerns you may have, this does NOT include acute illness, injury, or other concerns. If there is an acute illness, injury, or other concern with your child that we have not previously addressed that may have warranted a separate office visit, and the care extends beyond the realm of a Routine Wellness Exam, an office visit may be billed in addition to the Wellness Exam. This is done in accordance with the American Medical Association's Current Procedural Terminology coding guidelines.

The AAP recommends SEVERAL Wellness Exams in the first two to three years of life. These should be covered by your insurance plan; however, it is in your best interest to contact your insurance company to inquire whether or not ALL of the recommended exams will be covered. Some plans do have limitations as to the number of Wellness Exams allowed each year or may require a full 365 days in between well child checks. If the exam is not covered by your plan, you may be responsible for any/all charges incurred.
